TheTamshee: has just read an inspiring article by Satish Kumar The editor of Resurgence magazine has some wise words for the governments of this world. Beneath The Snow

TheTamshee says: with the nine-hole extension to Torwoodlee, just north of Galashiels, now fully matured, this venue has proved to be one of the most attractive in the Borders. The contrast between the parkland which dominates the original, flatter part of the layout alongside Gala Water and the challenging upper section, where some sloping fairways need to be dealt with gives the golfer plenty to think about. The surrounding Border scenery is also quite magnificent. I'm inspired to dust off the clubs and strike a few balls. Picture copyright @ Donald Ford Images

This is one of a pair of Goldfinches that we have on our feeders.

The Brambling may be a common bird in Northern Europe but this is the first siting we have had. This one seems to have joined our Chaffinch flock.

The Doctor Regenerates

TheTamshee says: Dr Who "The End Of Time" had more twists than an alcholic's corkscrew. Gripping to the end; David Tenant will certainally be a hard act to follow but Matt Smith the 11th regeneration has the talent to bring a new dimension with a touch of comedy to the series.

Dangerous Tree @ Greenacres

TheTamshee says: remember not to park under this tree!! when visiting the Potter's @ Greenacres. Errosion of the dry stane dyke, coupled with a good strong wind could be "Timber"
