Snail & Leaf

TheTamshee: spent the day with renowned wildlife photographer Laurie Campbell; sponging up more tips and techniques at his latest workshop session around Harestanes. Followed through on sound advice and started experimenting with the 77mm close-up lens 500D attached to my 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM. The results are pleasing to me but not sure if they stand up to scrutinising by the professionals.

Goosander & Mallard

TheTamshee: strolled the bank of the River Ettrick to spot this female Goosander soaking up the evening sun. The ginger mullet gave her that "stand out from the crowd look" The female Mallard on the other hand; had busier times tending the brood of nine!!

Teviot Smokery & Water Garden

Mr & Mrs Tamshee: had a wonderful today strolling the banks of the River Teviot @ the Old Toll Bridge then popped into the Teviot Smokery & Water Gardens to have a leisurely lunch. Superb!!
