TheTamshee: says; the water turns the Philiphaugh Waterwheel; which generates the power supply for the sawmill and then we leave the lights on to waste this valuable energy; that's life.

Tamshee's Owl Roost

TheTamshee: has spent some considerable time strolling the woods in search of Owl Scat or whitewash at the base of favourable roosting trees; but perseverance's pays off. I've finally found my very own resident Tawny Owl. As I checked out this lower entrance the roosting raptor exited at the higher opening.

Standing Stone A708

The junction @ Tibbie Shiels Inn 0n the A708
TheTamshee says: Dalyn; dusted off the Buell today and headed south west from Selkirk along the A708. When you pass Yarrow Kirk, around the sharp left then right bend there is a large standing Stone in the field to the right. The Stone is within 40 paces of the dye stane dyke; standing five feet in height. There is No markings.
