European Eagle Owl

TheTamshee: & Family checked out the European Eagle Owls ( Bubo-Bubo ) at Philiphaugh Farm. Very impressive birds but unfortunately this pair are not free to patrol the skies at their leisure.

TheTamshee: spent the morning watching the Salmon leaping at the Murray's Cauld Selkirk.
Great viewing centre set up at Philiphaugh Farm, all the facts with video surveillance. Call into the Waterwheel Cafe and pick up a Audio recorder, well worth the £2 Also observe the Grey Heron waiting patiently on the bank of Ettrick Water to pick up a tasty morsel.
